While urging continued efforts to achieve consensus in the UN forum, both said the GOJ would support the resolution, consistent with Jordan's "conscience and convictions." They expressed appreciation -- Aamiry said he was "pleasantly surprised" -- for U.S. flexibility in renegotiating the resolution in response to various concerns raised by the OIC and some African States, particularly broadening the focus to condemn actions by non-state actors as well.
