1. The Commercial Section received on August 6 a letter, dated July
19, 2007, from H.E. Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Salim
Al-Khazaleh, addressed to Commerce Secretary Gutierrez, concerning
the proposed January 2008 Trade and Investment Conference in Jordan.

Excellency,

In reference to your letter of June 25, 2007, in which you confirmed
the date for the U.S-Middle East Trade and Investment Conference
that will take place in Amman-Jordan on 14/1/2008.

It is with great pleasure that we accept the above mentioned date
for holding this conference. I look forward to meeting you on
January 14, 2008, in hopes of achieving concrete results which in
turn will enhance economic and trade relations between our
countries.
