al-Aamiry, director of the Foreign Ministry's International
Organizations Department. Aamiry did not offer a substantive
response, but undertook to pass the points directly to
Foreign Minister Khatib for his consideration. NOTE:
Although Jordan is a signatory of eleven of the thirteen UN
terrorism conventions, it has yet to ratify six of them,
including the Nuclear Terrorism Convention. Jordan has not
yet joined the Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist
Bombings or the Convention on the Physical Protection of
Nuclear Material. END NOTE.
