1. (C) POLOFF delivered ref A points on June 7 to Muheeb
Nimrat, a senior official in the Foreign Minister's private
office. Nimrat commented that it was unlikely that Iran
would attempt to transfer weapons to Syria via Jordan but
appreciated the warning nonetheless. Nimrat undertook to
pass our concerns directly to Foreign Minister Khatib, and to
share them with the Jordanian Armed forces, Ministry of
Transportation, and with Jordanian Customs.


2. (S/NF) Post's SIMO office will also share ref A points
with Jordan's General Intelligence Directorate.
