(SBU) Polcouns made reftel points April 11 at a meeting with
Thamer Adwan, director of Foreign Minister Khatib's private
office. Adwan was not aware of the planned May 3 meeting on
the International Compact with Iraq (ICI),but called in
international organizations bureau director Ayman al-Ameri,
who was. Adwan and al-Ameri said the GOJ would wait until it
had received the UN/Iraqi invitation to the meeting before
deciding Jordan's level of representation.
