(SBU) On December 5, poloff delivered reftel talking points
and information to Paul Essel, Supervising Director of the
Office for Multilateral, Legal and Passport Affairs at the
MFA. Essel said engagement with Iran must continue and a
multilateral approach is necessary to ensure that Iran's
nuclear program exists solely for peaceful purposes. Once
again, Essel emphasized Ghana's desire for continued
diplomacy, saying that the situation in Iran must be resolved
peacefully.
