Poloff delivered reftel demarche November 19 to Charles
Ononye, Deputy Director of the International Organizations
Division, and Olukunle Bamgbose, an officer in the Second
United Nations Division, at the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. Mr. Ononye was non-committal, but he promised to
review the information on the Iran, Belarus, Burma, and North
Korea resolutions (left as a non-paper) and to pass the
information to his colleagues in New York. He also
recommended that USUN approach the Nigerian Mission in New
York regarding the resolutions, as the final vote decisions
will be made there.
