PolOff spoke with Obiora Egbunike, Assistant Director of the
Second United Nations Division in the Nigerian Ministry of
Affairs, regarding the June/July 2007 AU Summit in Accra,
Ghana. Egbuinke informed PolOff that President Yar'Adua
would "definitely" attend the summit and be accompanied by
MFA Permanent Secretary Hakim Baba Ahmed and, if one is
appointed before the summit, by the Minister of Foreign
Affairs. (Note: As of June 15, the President has not
appointed any Ministers to his cabinet.)
