1. On May 30, 2007 Embassy Econoffs met with the Permanent
Secretary, Akin Arikawe, Ministry of Finance to discuss Robert B.

Zoellick's nomination as the next World Bank (WB) President.
Arikawe was very aware of Zoellick, especially the role he played in
the Darfur talks that were held in Abuja in 2006. He indicated that
he did not see any issue with Zoellick's nomination and said that
the Government of Nigeria would support the nomination.
