ACTION REQUEST: Please see paragraph 4. ¶2. The Embassy received via diplomatic note March 19 a request from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more information on Jihad al-Bina and whether or not it has activities in the UAE. ¶3. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the honor to present its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America and has the honor to refer the Embassy's attention to the Embassy's Diplomatic Note No. 164, dated February 26, 2007, regarding the designation of the Lebanon-based construction company Jihad al-Bina to the assets freeze list. The Ministry would be very grateful if the Embassy could provide us with information about the above mentioned company and whether it has any activity in the United Arab Emirates. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Embassy the assurances of its highest consideraion. End Embassy translation. ¶4.
