Ref A requested that post conduct a Blue Lantern pre-license check of Springfall International, Sharjah Airport Free Zone for application 050072891 (F-16 spare parts to the Pakistani Air Force) due to it being a unfamiliar foreign consignee. Post notes that Springfall International was the subject of a Blue Lantern check conducted on January 14, 2004 per Ref B with the original Department request in Ref C. ¶2. On December 10, 2007 Commercial Officer Nasir Khan contacted Springfall in an effort to schedule the check. A Mr. Mohammad Ali advised that the relevant individual, a Mr. Abdullah Khamis was out of the country on leave and would not be returning until January ¶2008. Ali advised he was the only one at Springfall who would be able to assist in this matter. ¶3. Please advise whether Post should wait until the return of Khamis or if the previously conducted 2004 check will meet the license requirement. SISON
