(C) The Ambassador reiterated the talking points in reftel to Foreign Minister Bakayoko on March 5. Minister Bakayoko confirmed that the Government of Cote d'Ivoire, particularly the Presidency, had made a number of demarches to President Conte urging him to find a peaceful solution to the crisis in Guinea. The Government of Cote d'Ivoire strongly supports new Prime Minister Kouyate, who was the Francophonie representative in Cote d'Ivoire until his nomination as Prime Minister last week. Minister Bakayoko said that the Government of Cote d'Ivoire is following very closely PM Kouyate's efforts to form a new government before making any further demarches. Hooks
