assured PolOff that the GoC completely endorsed USG policy
regarding arms transfers to Venezuela. Based on Post
guidance, she said the MFA would not/not approve a pending
license request from a Croatian manufacturer to export
several hundred 9-mm pistols to the Venezuelan military.
