(S/NF) We delivered ref A points regarding GOAM support for Iraqi and Afghan Security Forces to Foreign Relations and Military Cooperation Department Head General-Major Misha Melkonyan February 13. Melkonyan told us that he would forward our request "to military leadership" but that Armenia, with a contingent of troops deployed in Iraq, was already doing all it could to support international efforts. Limited by a lack of resources, Melkonyan told us, "we, ourselves, need support." ¶2. (S/NF) We also delivered ref A points to Ministry of Foreign Affairs NATO Section Head Marta Ayvazyan.
