(C) Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakossian told
the Ambassador on February 9 that the GOAM, in view of the
U.S. position (reftels),plans to support the candidacy of
Guatemala for United Nations Security Council in the October
non-permanent member elections. Kirakossian said the MFA had
cabled instructions to that effect to Armenia's Permanent
Representative at the United Nations Ambassador Armen
Martirossyan.
