Begin Text: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America and has the honour to refer to the Embassy's Note No. 49-06 of 10 August 2006 informing the Ministry that the United States has decided to nominate Professor Ruth Wedgwood as a candidate for re-election to the UN Human Rights Committee at elections to be held during the 25th meeting of States Parties to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights to be held in New York on 7 September 2006.
