(SBU) Vaida Linartaite, Chief Specialist in the Complaints
Investigation and International Cooperation Division of the GOL's
Data Protection Inspectorate, told us August 25 that her office was
not yet aware of any proposed changes to the EU's rules on
transmitting passenger data to third countries. She also said that
Lithuanian-based carriers do not fly transatlantic routes and
therefore do not provide USG authorities with passenger data.
