1. Mission has received a note from the Permanent Mission
of the Philippines to the United Nations requesting USG
support for its candidature of Mr. Miguel Coronel for
election to the International Narcotics Control Board. The
elections will be held during the organizational segment of
the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in May 2006.
2. Mission will respond that careful consideration will be
given by the United States to the candidature of Mr. Coronel.
