We are pleased that we have been able to make a significant contribution to this initiative and are committed to continuing our engagement in the preparation of the ministerial meeting next year. Building on our commitment to the Community of Democracies, UNDP's Regional Bureau for Africa has already allocated funds for the establishment of a Secretariat in Bamako. UNDP's Resident Representative in Mali, Mr. Joseph Byll-Cataria, is engaged in discussions to further define UNDP's role in supporting the Government of Mali in this important work.
