1. Mission has received a note from the Permanent Mission of
the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Nations
requesting USG support for the candidature of Ambassador A.
J. Nanna for election to the Committee on Economic, Social
and Cultural Rights (CESCR). The elections will be held
during the resumed organizational session of ECOSOC in May
2006.
2. Mission will respond that careful consideration will be
given by the United States to the candidature of Ambassador
Nanna.
