¶1. USUN received a diplomatic note dated February 28, 2006
from the Mission of the People's Republic of China to the
United Nations requesting USG support for the candidature of
Ambassador Yishan Zhang for election to the Joint Inspection
Unit (JIU) at elections to be held during the 61st Session of
the General Assembly in the fall of 2006. USUN March 6, 2006
diplomatic note response advises the Mission that we have
forwarded the note to appropriate USG authorities for their
consideration.
