PENSION BOARD MEETING IN NAIROBI
This is to inform Embassy Nairobi that Thomas Repasch, USUN
Counselor for UN Management and Reform, will be in Nairobi
July 11-22 to attend the meeting of the UN Joint Staff
Pension Board. The meeting, which takes place at the UN
Office in Nairobi, will focus on a variety of governance,
oversight, administration, and actuarial issues related to
the $32 billion fund that provides retirement and disability
benefits to individuals affiliated with UN system
organizations. Repasch, a member of the U.S. delegation to
the General Assembly, is serving a four-year term on the
Pension Board. He will arrive in Nairobi on July 11 via
Emirates Airlines and will be staying at the Nairobi Holiday
Inn (Phone 554-20-3740920) for the duration of the meeting.
