October 25 to UN Policy Division Principal Deputy Director
Toshihiro Kitamura. Kitamura said that Japan shares U.S.
views on unproductive bodies in the United Nations. MOFA is
advocating for the abolishment of a long list of committees,
including the ones listed in reftel. The UN Policy Division
would consider changing its vote to 'no,' he said.
