tailored for Kiribati, October 20 to MOFA United Nations
Policy Division Principal Deputy Director Toshihiro Kitamura.
Kitamura said that MOFA shared the United States' concern
about Venezuela's bid for a Security Council seat, and would
carefully consider our request that Japan demarche Kiribati.
Noting that the next vote would be on October 25, he said
MOFA would make a decision early the week of October 22.
