to Ministry of Foreign Affairs International Counterterrorism
Cooperation Division Deputy Director Miyako Ishimura and
Ministry of Finance Legal Office Deputy Division Chief
Shunichi Fukushima on July 20, 2006. Both thanked us for the
prenotification. Ishimura predicted that the Foreign
Ministry would withhold judgment on the case until it
receives more background information on the individual. She
promised to alert her colleagues at Japan's UN Mission to the
possible UN 1267 Committee submission.
