(U) In response to reftel demarche, on May 15 Ministry of
Foreign Affairs First Middle East Division Officer Jun
Nanazawa reported that at this time Japan is planning to send
Middle East Bureau Director General Motohide Yoshikawa as its
representative to the BMENA Forum for the Future Planning
Meeting in Moscow May 29-30. Nanazawa said the decision was
not yet final, but offered to confirm Japan's attendance when
a final decision had been made.
