¶1. On December 28 Poloff delivered reftel points to
Marin Mottus, MFA Director for Africa, Middle East and
Latin America Division, and Linda Kolk, counselor in
the same division, on UN Security Council Resolution
¶1737. Mottus welcomed the adoption of resolution 1737
and said that the GOE continues to discuss the issue
with other EU member states. Mottus regretted that
Iran had not taken seriously proposals by EU foreign
policy chief Javier Solana and expressed hope that
Iran would comply with its obligations.
