Director Per Norstrom, requesting Sweden to deliver a strong
message to Venezuela urging it to reconsider the NGO bill.
Norstrom was aware of the bill, and raised its connection to
Sumate. Norstrom noted that Sweden does not have an Embassy
in Caracas and relies on EU colleagues for evaluation of the
situation on the ground. He said Sweden would consult in an
EU context on the bill and hoped there would be a joint EU
position. After those consultations, Norstrom said he
intended to discuss the matter with the Venezuelan Ambassador.
