On October 30, Ambassador Kamen Velichkov, Head of MFA's UN
and Global Issues Department, said in response to reftels
that the GOB will follow the EU consensus on the resolutions
and anti-Israeli UN institutions. Predicting that "this will
not be the year of change," Velichkov said the EU will likely
repeat last year's pattern and vote against the Committee to
Investigate Israeli Practices, while abstaining on the
Committee of Inalienable Rights and Division of Palestinian
Rights. He added that the final decision will be taken in
early November in New York at an informal meeting of EU
representatives.
