(SBU) P/E Chief delivered reftel points regarding the need
for stronger Serbian cooperation with ICTY in the effort to
apprehend remaining Persons Indicted for War Crimes (PIFWCs)
to MFA State Counselor Milan Spiridonovski on September 7.
Spiridonovski said he would instruct Macedonia's Embassy in
Belgrade, drawing on reftel suggestions, to urge the Serbian
government to take concrete steps to demonstrate improved
cooperation with the ICTY on PIFWCs. He said he also would
discuss with his superiors sending a circular note
instructing Macedonian diplomatic missions in the region to
raise the issue with their Serbian counterparts.
