1. Per reftel, Post conducted inquiries to verify the bona
fides of Master Logistics Pte. Ltd.
2. Master Logistics Pte Ltd is a limited exempt private
company that has been operating in Singapore since August 25,
1994. Singapore's online business directory, Biznet, lists
the company's principle officers as:
Name: Djudju Harjati Tjawinoto
Nationality: Indonesian
ID: K380069
Address: Grogol Permai Block C, #51-52, Jakarta, Indonesia
Name: Tian Lay Hoon
Nationality: Singaporean
ID: S0144945A
Address: 16 Shan Road, #03-03 Pinnacle 16, Singapore, 328107
Name: Yuwono Riyadi
Nationality: Singaporean Permanent Resident
ID: S2719669A
Address: 327 Ubi Avenue 1, #07-657, Singapore, 400327
3. DHS/ICE databases revealed there is an open investigation
of Master Logistics in New York for alleged procurement of
F-5 aircraft parts without DOS approval.
4. Econoff on September 29 visited the address listed reftel
and spoke with Djudju Harjati Tjawinoto. According to
Djudju, Master Logistics acts as a freight forwarder for
"thousands" of companies, and its customers include many
large technology firms such as Canon, Samsung,
Hewlett-Packard, and Brother. Note: It appeared that Master
Logistics does conduct a brisk trade in products from the
companies mentioned. End note. Djudju said that she does
not typically deal with items requiring an export license and
that she had no understanding of U.S. export license
regulations. Her office does not conduct business directly
with the Indonesian Air Force, but rather works through PT
Mandira Jaya Abadi in Jakarta, she said. Djudju emphasized
that Master Logistics only acts as a freight forwarder; she
could not say why PT Mandira Jaya Abadi did not deal directly
with the U.S. seller, Aerotropic International.
5. Master Logistics appeared to be a legitimate freight
forwarder, but one that does not typically deal with, or at
least admit to dealing with, USML items.
