1. Emboffs on October 17 and 18 conducted site visits to
Changi, Paya Lebar, Sembawang, and Tengah Air Bases to
confirm the Defense Science and Technology Agency's (DSTA)
receipt of reftel listed night vision devices (NVD).
2. Emboffs accounted for 177 NVDs by checking serial numbers
provided by PM/DTTC against the serial numbers on the
devices. DSTA and Singapore Air Force representatives
confirmed that the NVDs were being used for the purpose
stated on the license application and also provided Emboffs
with inventory logs that appeared conform to the license
provisos. Note: Singapore recently received the 115
remaining NVDs ordered under this license. Post tentatively
plans to conduct checks of these units in November after they
have been distributed to the air bases. End note.
