Per reftel, Post made inquiries to confirm the Republic of Singapore Navy's (RSN) order for monitor parts listed in the reftel license application. ¶2. An RSN representative verified that that the monitor parts were ordered from Singapore Technologies (ST) Electronics to replace faulty parts in the Barco 21" color monitor (Barco MPRD 9651; P/N: V9507823). The RSN representative explained that the Navy owned many Barco monitors and that the continued high demand for this product, including required replacement parts, was due to age-prolonged use. ¶3. ST Electronics confirmed the RSN's order for monitor parts. ST Electronics is the electronics and communications division of ST Engineering, a publicly listed company in which Temasek, the Singapore Government's holding company owns a majority interest. In addition to its other businesses, ST Engineering handles many if not most of the Singapore Armed Forces procurement contracts. Post is not aware of any ties to embargoed parties, and is confident that ST Electronics is a responsible party in this transaction. HERBOLD
