SUBJECT: BIH PLEDGES SUPPORT IN WAKE OF NORTH KOREAN
NUCLEAR TEST ANNOUNCEMENT

(C) CDA presented points per reftel, urging the GoBiH to
publicly denounce the North Korean action and support a
United Nations Security Council (UNSC) response, to Ministry
of Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Anton Rill. Rill stated
that the GoBiH supported the USG position and believed that
appropriate action should be taken through the UNSC. Rill
told CDA that he hoped the GoBiH would issue a statement
condemning the North Korean action soon, but the absence of
Foreign Minister Ivanic was slightly delaying the
announcement. Rill also said that he doubted North Korea had
any financial interests in BiH, but that the GoBiH would take
additional measures if any such interests were found to exist.
