1. Post received a dipnote from President Fernandez and
Minister of Foreign Relations Troncoso addressed to both
President George Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza
Rice. The dipnote offered their congratulations on behalf of
Independence Day.
2. Unofficial translation reads as follows:
"IT IS AN HONOR FOR ME TO EXPRESS TO YOUR EXCELLENCY, MY
SINCEREST CONGRATULATIONS ON THE DAY OF THE DECLARATION OF
INDEPENDENCE OF THE UNITED STATES, AND TO EXPRESS MY WISHES
FOR PROSPERITY AND WELFARE TO YOUR GREAT NATION."
3. Post responded to both Fernandez and Troncoso with a
thank you letter from the Ambassador.
