Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Foreign Ministry Deputy
Director General for Multilateral Affairs Jose Manuel Lira on
January 30. (Post's civil aviation contacts are either out of
the country or on summer vacation.) Lira acknowledged the
USG's support for Voss and said he would advise us of the
GOC's position after consulting with appropriate Chilean
authorities.
