On February 17, the Acting Consul General provided Francisco Merino, Director of Protocol of the Salvadoran MFA, printed color copies of the presentation on the new electronic passports. After explaining the current pilot production project and the Department's intention to issue all passports in the electronic format by the end of 2006, ACG requested that Merino distribute the visual presentation and information about the new passports to all appropriate host government entities. ¶2. Post will provide additional printed color copies of the presentation to Salvadoran Immigration officials and working level contacts of the airlines. BARCLAY
