On November 17, poloff delivered reftel demarche to Mario
Rivera, Director of Multilateral Affairs at the MFA. Rivera
reported that Foreign Minister Lainez is currently in New
York at their UN Mission, and would make the decision on how
El Salvador will vote. Rivera promised to pass the U.S.
position to his UN mission soonest to alert FoMin Lainez.
