On May 5, 2006, poloff spoke to Mario Huezo, Technical
Advisor to the General Director of Integrated Social
Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Huezo
indicated that the GOES was aware of the importance of the
stockpile of live smallpox samples. When poloff spoke again
with Huezo on May 12, Huezo indicated that he would speak to
the Salvadoran Delegation to the World Health Assembly
regarding the information we provided, and that he would
advise the delegation to support our position.
