(C) On June 4, Poloff delivered reftel demarche on endorsing
the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) to Assistant
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Akwa. Poloff
encouraged the ROYG to support the PSI, including endorsing
the PSI Statement of Interdiction Principles before the
Senior Level Political Meeting in Poland this month. Akwa
said the ROYG had received an invitation for the meeting, but
did not know if a Yemeni official would attend. Post will
report any additional information on Yemeni participation via
septel.
