and Giuseppina Zarra of MFA's Directorate General for
Multilateral Economic and Financial Cooperation. PolOff also
delivered reftel points March 3 to Umberto Malnati, Office
Director for Southern Africa. Zarra told EconOff March 8
that Italy will vote to restore Zimbabwe voting rights at the
March 8 IMF meeting. Zarra said that while Italy agrees with
reftel points, it would send "too strong of a political
signal" to vote against Zimbabwe's voting rights.
