(C) Amb. Gianludovico Martino, Head of the Iraq Task Force of
the Italian MFA thanked PolMinCouns for sharing a copy of the
draft UNSCR on Iraq and stated that Italy does not have any
recommendations for changes or additions. De Martino noted
that from the GOI perspective, the draft resolution contains
all the major points - a national reconciliation plan and
reference to the compact. Italy will support the draft UNSCR
and continue to support political development,
reconstruction, and security training for Iraqis.
