Poloff delivered Ref A dipnote and bio for U.S. International
Law Commission (ILC) candidate Michael Matheson November 7 to
MFA Acting UN Office Director Leonardo Bencini. Bencini
responded November 14 that Italy was open to supporting the
U.S. ILC candidate, but noted that Italy also has a candidate
for the ILC. He suggested that USUN coordinate with the
Italian mission in New York and provided Fabio Sokolowic as
the GOI point of contact.
