(C) Econoff spoke by phone October 17 with Donato D'Angelantonio, Director General of Supplies for Elettronica SPA (foreign consignee and end-user),regarding reftel. According to D'Angelantonio, who provided extensive supporting documents (via fax),Elettronica cancelled May 19, 2005 the order of TWT (Traveling Wave Tube) Assembly, A13553-01-06, from Pendulum Electromagnetics. Elettronica's letter of cancellation to Pendulum Electromagnetics, dated May 19, 2005, was sent to the attention of Carl Everleigh and referenced purchase order "4500003381." ¶2. (C) D'Angelantonio did not provide a reason why the order was cancelled, but stated that Elettronica did not receive any delivery from Pendulum Electromagnetics on this order. D'Angelantonio volunteered that said order was the first time that Elettronica attempted to do business with Pendulum Electromagnetics, and has not done any since. ¶3. (C) Comment: Of note in Elettronica's May 19, 2005 letter of cancellation to Pendulum Electromagnetics was a sentence stating, "No further money will be paid by Elettronica beyond what already paid" (sic). Post has not inquired further into this sentence, but would like to note that the sentence might imply some transaction or processing of the order between the two companies before Elettronica cancelled the order.
