¶1. This cable is in response to reftel A and is an update to reftel
¶B.
¶2. Colonel Filippo Censori of the Italian Carabinieri Air and
Maritime Services (foreign end-user) confirmed to post August 29
that the items listed in reftel A were received by Agusta SPA
(foreign intermediate consignee). Censori also confirmed that the
night vision goggles parts would be assembled and placed in
helicopters manufactured by Agusta, per the GOI's request, for use
by the Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza.
¶3. Additionally, Censori provided post an info copy of a fax Agusta
sent to Rockwell Collins France (foreign consignee) on July 7, 2005,
confirming that the GOI was the end-user.
