¶1. (S) A/EconCouns and Econoff delivered to Maria Paola
Suppa of the Finance Ministry's Office of Financial Crimes
on August 28 reftel points concerning Washington's
preparations for the upcoming designations of seven
individuals and two entities, under UNSCR 1617 and E.O.
13224, that are facilitators for organizations already
sanctioned by the UN 1267 Committee.
¶2. (U) Suppa noted that she would share the information
with relevant GOI authorities, including Cristina Collura,
the Finance Ministry's Director of Financial Crimes, who
would review the information further, upon her return from
vacation in early September.
