MFA U/S for bilateral affairs, October 16. Skuja said that
the GOL wanted to see reconstruction proceed in Lebanon and
was concerned that such maneuvers on the part of Syria would
only add to the suffering of Lebanon's populace. He said
Latvia would consult with EU partners on how best to address
this information.
