(U) EconOff spoke with MFA Multilateral Office official Ondrej Kovarik to discuss Reftel. Kovarik said the Czechs will adhere to the EU common position, but added the Czechs do not support the establishment of a permanent forum because the funding source and management structure is unknown. Instead the Czechs prefer an informal forum that is both voluntary and consultative. They also want greater coordination among existing agencies prior to the establishment of any permanent forum. ¶2.
