1. DCM and Political Officer delivered demarche
contained reftel to Laura West, Head of the Americas
Department in the MFA on March 6. Ms. West is our
primary point of contact on CICTE issues in the MFA.
The DCM emphasized USG support for the comprehensive
nature of the draft Declaration of San Carlos and
underscored the connections between terrorism and
transnational crime. Ms. West indicated Trinidad and
Tobago's inclination to support the draft declaration
and indicated that T&T will continue to support the
ideas expressed in previous CICTE meetings.
2. The MFA faxed Trinidad and Tobago's CICTE
delegation roster to Post on March 15. Trinidad and
Tobago will be represented by the following five
members:
- Senator the Honorable Martin Joseph, Minister of
National Security (Head of Delegation)
- Mr. Overand Padmore, National Security Advisor to the
Prime Minister
- Ms. Lynne Anne Williams, Principal Representative to
and National Point of Contact of CICTE
- Ms. Antoinette Lucas-Andrews, National Coordinator,
National CICTE Desk in the Ministry of National
Security
- Ms. Camille Renie, Legal Officer, Ministry of
National Security.
