DCM and Political Officer delivered demarche contained reftel to Laura West, Head of the Americas Department in the MFA on March 6. Ms. West is our primary point of contact on CICTE issues in the MFA. The DCM emphasized USG support for the comprehensive nature of the draft Declaration of San Carlos and underscored the connections between terrorism and transnational crime. Ms. West indicated Trinidad and Tobago's inclination to support the draft declaration and indicated that T&T will continue to support the ideas expressed in previous CICTE meetings. ¶2. The MFA faxed Trinidad and Tobago's CICTE delegation roster to Post on March 15.
