After repeated requests for a decision and follow-up reminders, MFA
Multilateral Division Director Susan Gordon told Polchief, on
November 15, that T&T will not be voting for Michael Matheson's
election to the International Law Commission. Gordon said that the
decision was made based on an evaluation of the different legal
systems of the countries which have nominated candidates and on the
need for an adequate mix of such systems on the Commission.
